We are excited to announce the arrival of our new Optovue RT-Vue OCT scanner! The RTVue is an ultra-high speed, high resolution OCT retina scanner used for retina imaging and analysis. It is based on the next generation Fourier-Domain Optical Coherence technology just emerging from clinical research in the last two years. The ultra-high speed and high resolution features enable the FD-OCT to visualize the retinal tissue with ultra-high clarity in a fraction of seconds. The RT-Vue can scan and measure the retina 26,000 times in a second! 

The RT-Vue gives us unprecedented 3-D views of the retina, and allows us to more accurately diagnose, track and treat eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinal edema (swelling) and more. For the tech-minded, you can read more about the RT-Vue OCT here.
